An Acropolis Affair: A Night of Beauty, Purpose, and Generosity
It has been just over a month since An Acropolis Affair, Filotimo’s inaugural fundraising gala, and we are still glowing.
It was electrifying to gather with our community of over 300 guests at the Angus Barn Pavilion to celebrate how far we’ve come. Thanks to the support we received, we’re building a powerful future and expanding our impact.
Inspired by ancient Greece and modern hope, An Acropolis Affair came to life with breathtaking decor and interactive experiences, from aura readings to the crowd-favorite “Midas Touch” station where guests were adorned with gold to channel their inner Greek deity.
Moments of Meaning
Filotimo founder, Pete Proimos, shared his deeply personal journey of living with cystic fibrosis. Once silent about his condition, Pete has become a bold voice for adults with CF, breaking stigma and building community with purpose and heart.
We also had the honor of celebrating Robert and Helen Link, founders of the Spiritus Project — among the first to show Pete the transformative power of vulnerability, community, and shared mission.
Growing Support, Expanding Impact
We were proud to be joined by our founding partners, UNC Health and Atlantic Reproductive Medicine, who have stood by us from the beginning in our mission to support adults with CF through hardship support and family-building.

A Night to Remember, and a Future to Build
